What is ‘We Call It Flamenco?’
It is an ode to flamenco and Spanish culture, identity and heritage in the form of a musical journey through some of its most famous palos. An immersive experience that will bring you a little piece of our neighboring country through the quejío and desgarro soul of the cantaor, the hypnotic zapateo, the rasgueo of the guitar, and, of course, the “jaleo” of the audience who will clap, cheer and accompany the performers with the iconic “¡olé!”
Flamenco, its palos and performance
In flamenco, the term “palo” refers to more than 50 traditional musical forms, each intended to express a variety of feelings, emotions and states. During ‘We Call it Flamenco’ a total of six palos will be featured: fandango, zambra, bulería, soleá por bulerías, tangos and cantiñas.
From the sounds of more traditional Spain to bolder and faster styles, from powerful and angry lyrics to dances that mimic the waves of the sea. All this and more awaits you in this incredible and original show led by professional bailaores, which in six acts will leave you speechless.
