Unleash your inner “Dancing Queen” this season at a warm and elegant space, boasting an open broad-beamed 72-foot clear span ceiling. The mesmerizing Candlelight concert series is bringing some of the most popular songs by the Swedish supergroup ABBA, to The World Forestry Centre in Portland. Taking place at the charming Miller Hall, the venue along with the twinkling sea of candles offer an incredible backdrop to the spell-binding performances of hits like “Fernando” and “Super Trouper”.
ABBA is one of the most successful bands of all time, consistently topping the charts since the ’70s. Their music transcends generations, because it touches on universal topics of love, heartbreak and even social issues. They are currently touring in the UK and Agnetha Fältskog is relaunching her solo career, so they continue to perform music and be as relevant as ever.
The Swedish band’s fans will get to reminisce and enjoy some of their catchy bangers, such as “Chiquitita”, “Waterloo”, “Fernando” and “Mamma Mia”. These songs make you want to dance and sing along and the talented musicians of Listeso String Quartet will definitely “lay all their love” on Miller Hall and do the band justice.
